The Birds

BENNINGTON -- The hits kept on coming after the $1,500 sale. One of the backstories was sad, dealt with premature death, her 20-year-old son went to sleep one night two months ago and didn't wake up, and it made me think of the little birdie this morning.

The mom bought this DeAmicis framed litho-print with a sailboat and words that read,

We cannot direct the wind,
but we can change the sails

She bought it for her 23-year-old son, who too is trying to cope and move on.

It was one of those days. The High and The Low and The Humdrum of The Middle.

I hope the little birdie woke up and flew away.
